What it does
REFRAMD gathers the vector animations published by the Rive community. You browse them by swiping, keep the useful ones in albums, and export them with the attribution that goes with them. For people looking for a light animation to drop into an interface.
Browse without searching
Swiping replaces the search bar. You run into things you would not have known how to name.
Keep what will be useful
Albums to sort by project, by style, by mood. It all stays on the device.
Export cleanly
A ZIP with the file and the CC BY 4.0 licence note already written. Crediting the author becomes the shortest path.
What it taught me
Everything. This was the app to cut my teeth on: learning to build, and above all learning to get published by Apple.
This app existed to learn, and it delivered beyond what I expected. Two rejections from Apple, a full audit, a case before the review board, and finally a release. Everything I know about the App Store comes from those two months.
Where it stands
The status is said plainly, including when it is not flattering.

The repository has not moved since release. It does what it was written for, and I have since learned what it had to teach me.
It is the oldest app in the catalogue, and the least maintained. Better to say so.

Do I need an account?
No. Favourites and albums stay on the phone.
Are there ads?
Yes, and they are non-personalised. That is what pays for hosting. No ad tracking is requested.
Can I use these animations in commercial work?
The animations are published under CC BY 4.0 by their authors. They can be used freely, as long as you credit. The export includes the note.
Are you connected to Rive?
No. REFRAMD is an independent app that reads a public catalogue. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Rive.
